A Challenging Week for Aston Martin - What It Really Means

A profit warning. Share price pressure. A curtailed Bahrain test. It has been a consequential few days for the marque.

But beyond the headlines lies a broader story, from Formula 1 integration hurdles and corporate restructuring to heritage icons, modern product praise, and the everyday realities of ownership.

In this week’s FTP Weekly Roundup, we step back from the noise to examine what’s really happening and where Aston Martin may be heading next.

Aston Martin Vantage:

Previous Generation vs 2025 – The Upgrade Question

For many Aston Martin owners, the Vantage isn’t just a car - it’s a long-term relationship.

But what happens when a new generation arrives? More power. A new interior. Sharper technology. A louder statement.

Is it evolution… or something else entirely?

On 1st March, Fuel the Passion publishes its first ever guest feature article, a detailed, real-world perspective from an owner who has lived both sides of the story. If you own a Vantage, or are considering one, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.

COMING SOON TO FUEL THE PASSION YouTube Channel

Fuel the Passion has always been independent. No hype, no noise, just stories, history, and honest ownership.

Many of you have kindly asked how you can support the platform and help it continue to grow. Now there’s a simple way to do exactly that.

The Fuel the Passion Book Library features a curated collection of motoring titles, the very books that inspire research, protect the record, and deepen our understanding of automotive heritage. The collection will grow over time. When you purchase through these links, you’ll pay nothing extra. But a small affiliate contribution will come back to Fuel the Passion, helping to fund future films, articles, research trips and events.

You get a beautifully produced book from a trusted British retailer (Waterstones).
FTP receives a modest contribution to keep telling the stories properly.

It’s a small thing — but together, it makes a meaningful difference.

2025 marked 90 years of the Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC)

— a milestone celebrating nearly a century of heritage, elegance, and shared passion for one of the world’s most iconic marques.

Founded in 1935 by Mort Morris Goodall, the AMOC began with just 30 enthusiasts gathered at the Grafton Hotel in London. Today, it stands as one of the oldest one-marque car clubs in the world — with over 9,000 members across 77 countries, united by their love for Aston Martin.

This special 2 minute 45 seconds highlight film captures the spirit of the AMOC 90th Anniversary International Celebrations and Concours, held at the stunning Hotel Gut Brandlhof in Saalfelden, Austria.

From the breathtaking drive out to a lunch stop, to over 200 Aston Martins on display, and the arrival of rare models including the 1957 DB4 Prototype DP114/2, the weekend embodied everything that makes Aston Martin ownership extraordinary.

In late 2025, Fuel the Passion was deeply honoured to be recognised by the Aston Martin Owners Club with the Roger Thornton-Brown Trophy.

The award was presented in appreciation of the films and storytelling produced through Fuel the Passion, helping to shine a light on the Club, its members, and the wider world of Aston Martin, including content that supported AMOC’s submission to the Historic Motoring Awards, where the Club was proudly named Club of the Year.

It’s a recognition received with genuine gratitude, and seen very much as a reflection of the community, generosity, and shared passion that sit at the heart of AMOC and the Aston Martin marque itself.
